Addicted to "busy"?

I think I have an addiction. Not the technology addiction I admitted to last year. Another one. To being busy. To having to be somewhere, even if it's not somewhere I want to be. We have been so stressed, so pulled in a million directions in the last few months (who am I kidding- last few years) that when there's a break in the action, I don't know how to decompress. I feel like the rush of having to be somewhere is kind of like a "high". Or at least it gives me something to do. When I have nowhere to be, it gives me time for my mind to be idle, and that usually is not good. I find something to worry about, even if there's nothing to worry about. We just moved, so that has taken up the better part of 4 months. Then the entire month of June, 6 days a week, has been dedicated to my son's All-Star baseball run. Now I wake up on Monday, look at the calendar, and there's NOTHING. FOR A WHOLE WEEK. What am I gonna do?? We're 2 hours into the day and I'm bored?! Oh, sure, there are a ton of little things. Little mind-numbing things- laundry, dishes, vacuuming, changing diapers and feeding faces, picking up toys and taking out the trash- but nothing to DO! I would say I need a hobby, but when am I gonna do that? I have three kids, so unless I'm driving them somewhere or picking up after them, there's no time to DO anything!! Even on days there's nowhere to be! Clear as mud?
